13) The flying Dutchmen:
I think I learned that perception is different for everyone. There is a set of ways to perceive things and it comes from our education. We can see and deduct the same information from a drawing for example whereas another person would perceive and descrive it differently. And we also look for the easiest way to convey our message.

14) Comics

I have always been a fan of Batman. I like the message that the comics convey. You do not need super powers to be a super hero...Indeed Batman is an ordinary man with no super powers.

18) I found this class very instructive and I really had fun doing the assignments. We also had a lot of fun in class with the drawings and the gestures to guess movies. I think those kind of exercises are cool and make understanding the class easier. It would also be nice to have more assignments. Thank you!!!

Assignment 6-11

6) Signifiers :

This can be seen as a signifier since we all think of the same thing when seeing this : « I need to buy some »

This can also be seen as a signifier since the pen marks mean “I need a new pen”.

 

This red light is also a signifier for “low battery”.

7) Goals

- I want to graduate at the end of this semester and find a food Masters degree abroad.

- I want to get my skydiving license upgrade before the end of the year.

- I want to take a trip to Europe and visit all countries in the next two years.

8) Mission statement

As a soon to be graduate, I want to find a job I like where I can be creative and successful. I want to have an enriching life filled with adventures and new discoveries. And I want to deal with my diabetes, stay healthy and keep a balanced life.

9) My Logo

 

I used this world shape since I like to travel and would like to visit many countries and discover their culture. The color blue can describe certain traits that I need to have to succeed in my professional life and be successful like perseverance, loyalty and responsibility. I also used my Initials in the logo.

10) Branded

The first and most important are those two brands. I have diabetes and I have been using the same glucose monitor and insulin brands since I was thirteen.

As a diabetic, Coca Cola Light and Zero have been the only drinks I can drink and find wherever I went. So I can say I have been branded by them.

 

I have been playing soccer since very young and since my first pair, Nike has always been my first choice. And since I always play soccer with the soccer team, I always have to wear these.
